What does ultrasonic inspection consist of?
Ultrasonic inspection is a non-destructive testing (NDT) technique that allows the detection of internal failures, air or gas leaks, thickness losses, and mechanical problems without the need to disassemble or interrupt the operation of the equipment.
This technology uses sensors that capture high-frequency sounds generated by anomalies, such as a defective valve, a leak in a pipe, or a damaged bearing. The operator transforms these signals into visual and sound data, which allows the precise location of the origin of the problem.
